ATEEZ, 6 years into their debut finally takes their well-deserved crown as they claim the 2024 Korean Grand Music Awards (KGMA) Grand Honor's Choice (Daesang), alongside the names of Aespa and Zerobaseone. The KGMA Grand Honor's choice is one of the highest distinctions presented on KGMA Artist Day, celebrating an artist's outstanding musical achievements during the evaluation period. Unlike other categories that may be influenced by fan votes or streaming numbers, the winner of the Grand Honor's Choice was decided entirely by a panel of jury members, further solidifying the significance of ATEEZ's achievement. This milestone was made more special as it was awarded on November 17th, ATINY Day, further solidifying the destiny between ATINY and ATEEZ. 

A YEAR OF ACHIEVEMENTS

ATEEZ had an astounding 2024. In April, they made history as the first K-pop boy group to perform at Coachella, followed by another groundbreaking moment in June as the first K-pop group to perform at Mawazine, drawing an estimated 130,000 attendees. While their international success captured global attention, it did not overshadow their domestic achievements, including becoming the first K-pop group to headline the Grand Mint Festival in Korea earlier this month.

ATEEZ also performed 'Work' from their Golden Hour Part. 1 album that debuted #2 on the Billboard 200 charts and #4 on the UK Official Albums Chart Top 100, extending their record as the first and only fourth generation group to chart the most albums inside the Top 10 of the UK Official Albums Chart (3).

With the outstanding year ATEEZ had, it comes as no surprise that this is the year they finally claimed their long deserved Daesang and the panel's decision speaks volume about their impact and artistry in the past year.

ATEEZ AT THE KGMA 2024

The win comes on the heel of their comeback with the album 'Golden Hour Part. 2' with a strong and never done before title track 'Ice On My Teeth'. ATEEZ performed their previous title track 'Work' and 'Ice On My Teeth' at the 2024 KGMA, and their performance once again proved to the crowd in attendance and the viewers at home why they took home the gold. 

Earlier in the night, ATEEZ had also picked up a trophy for 'Best Song' for their title track 'Crazy Form'.

ATEEZ's recent comeback is already looking brighter than ever. With midweek chart positions and chart predictions, ATEEZ continues to solidify their success in the music scene and continues to grow organically without any signs of slowing down.
